Colt Cabana vs. Homicide

Background: A simple conversation between Colt Cabana and Homicide turned into a vicious war when the unaware Cabana used a slur while imitating Snoop Dogg; leading to several moments that included Homicide attempting to live up to his name with a bottle of Drano and a pair of scissors before they did battle at ROH’s “Anniversary Show” in a “Ghetto Street Fight”.

Colt Cabana vs. Homicide

The fight came barreling down the ring with Cabana beating Homicide like a sick dog. Cabana clawed Homicide’s face before trying to crush his skull between his fist and the steel ring post. Homicide was able to elbow Cabana to the mat when they entered the ring. Cabana came back with a big boot to the mouth before going after his opposition’s head again. Homicide’s manager Julius Smokes spit on Cabana; trying to help his boy recover. It helped as Homicide sent Cabana to the floor, head first into the guardrail. Homicide pitched in a couple of chairs. Cabana was able to grab one of those chairs, only to have it used on him. Colt was bleeding from colliding with the steel. Homicide used the steel rectangle ROH logo shielding the barricades to crack Cabana on the head again. Cabana’s face was blood-coated as Homicide chair beat Cabana. Homicide set the logo in the corner as Cabana yelled that he wouldn’t quit. Knowing the effectiveness of a Gillette, Smokes handed a razor to Homicide who used it to scar Cabana’s head. Cabana somehow fought back after being tossed into the logo. Homicide had to go for the eyes to stop the onslaught of Colt.

Homicide taunted Cabana, using the Lasso in El Paso. The fans wanted a table and Homicide didn’t have any qualms with that. Homicide went for the big splash as Smokes set up the table. Cabana exploded off the mat, taking Homicide down with a Lariat. Cabana flipped over Homicide, choking him with own arm in an attempt to injure his right shoulder further. Cabana went for a moonsault, but missed it as well. Homicide locked in the camel clutch, using the time for Smokes to hand him a coat hanger. Homicide began to choke Cabana with the hanger. Cabana refused to give up, so the referee stopped the match for him.

Cabana grabbed the microphone after the match, demanding for Homicide to kill him if he wanted this thing to end. Homicide obliged as the match restarted executing an ace crusher before going for the Cop Killa. Cabana spun out of it, shoulder breaking Homicide. Cabana went cannibal, beating Homicide’s shoulder. Before Cabana could crown Homicide with a chair, Smokes grabbed Cabana’s boots. This allowed Homicide to whack Cabana in the back with another chair. Ricky Reyes ran out, helping Homicide tie Cabana to the top rope. Homicide whipped a chair toward Cabana’s face. The sound of skull meeting steel was sickening, causing the referee to call for the bell again.

And yet still conscious, Cabana demanded the fight continue. Homicide refused. Cabana brought Homicide’s son’s name into this, causing Homicide to hit the ring again. Cabana was fighting both Homicide and Smokes as the bell rang a third time. Cabana was going to send Homicide through the table, but Smokes stopped him by pouring a bottle of rubbing alcohol in his face. Homicide picked Cabana off the apron, piledriving him on the table. The table didn’t give, causing it to slip underneath them. Cabana’s head smacked the concrete, knocking Cabana out to end this match for a final time.

Winner: Homicide (18:54)

Is It A Classic: Just a brutal, intense piece of business that really epitomized just how insane this feud was and was going to get. Funny guy Colt actually stood toe-to-toe with a master fighter and almost got killed for it. While not a full-blown classic, it was a great match.
