Jeff Jarrett vs. Rhino

“Double J” brought out a casket, promising to bury someone tonight before jumping Rhino as the bloodied “Man-Beast” struggled to get up. This was Rhino’s third match tonight, and the fans realized he needed all the support he could get. “The King of The Mountain” stayed on top of Rhino, making sure he couldn’t get something going. Rhino used Jarrett’s cockiness against him, turning a flying clothesline into an inverted atomic drop. This brought out Gail Kim, who Tito Ortiz physically escorted from ringside. With Tito’s back to the ring, Jarrett crowned Rhino with that infamous guitar. Jarrett couldn’t believe it when Rhino kicked out of his follow up pin. America’s Most Wanted ran to ringside, with James Storm distracting Ortiz as Chris Harris handed Jarrett another guitar. Before Jarrett could make the homerun swing, Rhino exploded off the mat; Goring Jarrett to become the new NWA champion via pin fall.

Winner: Rhino (5:40)

Is It A Classic: It was a quick, overbooked bout featuring Jeff Jarrett being the most annoying version of himself in the ring while a battered Rhino took advantage of the shenanigans. While it was a satisfying end to the show as Jarrett finally lost because of his over reliance on outside help, as a stand-alone match it doesn’t stand up very well.
