Wrestling Life Lesson From Hulk Hogan

Watch What You Say

Marlon Wayans Kisses Hulk Hogan

Over a month ago, the professional wrestling and pop star icon Hulk Hogan was literally caught with his pants down when a audio snippet from a secretly recorded sex tape dated years ago revealed “The Hulkster” using a particular racial slur that is usually directed toward African Americans. Hogan, once a hero to millions no matter race, gender or creed, was ostracized from the company that helped make him a legend, World Wrestling Entertainment. Since then, the former multi-time wrestling champion has been ridiculed, lambasted and forced to explain himself to everyone both affected and unaffected by his use of the n-word. But no matter what Hogan says in his defense, the fact remains that Hulk Hogan used derogatory language to unintentionally insult an African American man and lost a great amount of respect because of his actions.

We all make mistakes in life and depending on the severity and consequences of said blunders, it might take anything from an apology, to time passing, to appearing on “Good Morning America” to accomplish both of those aforementioned tasks in the hope that it’ll begin to fix things. But to avoid suffering the same fate as people like Hulk Hogan, be careful what you say and think before you speak. You never know who’s watching and listening.
