Background: Two weeks earlier, CM Punk made his WWE/ECW debut, disposing of former ECW World Heavyweight champion Justin Credible. Of course Credible was looking for a rematch to avenge the loss.

CM Punk vs. Justin Credible
The fans were loudly behind Punk – who almost got the taste slapped out of his mouth when the bell sounded. The Chicago native responded by kicking Credible in the back before washing Justin’s face with his boot. A noticeable, “R-O-H!” chant broke out right before Punk used a slingshot cross body that ended with him landing abdomen first across Credible’s knee. The former ECW champion had taken control thanks to the counter, utilizing an abdominal stretch to perfection. Punk held on long enough for Credible to relinquish the submission hold, but felt a modified bulldog face buster seconds later. Countering a suplex, Punk kneed Credible into the uranage-Anaconda Vice combination for the submission victory.
Winner: CM Punk (2:43)
Is It A Classic: Not as impressive as the previous bout thanks to the not-so-rabid crowd that made Punk’s debut come across as a big deal. The match was a good little sprint, but, sadly, nothing too memorable from two guys who could’ve turned out a classic if given a lot more time.
