Dynamite Kid vs. Jim Neidhart
Stern collar & elbow tie up between the two ended relatively clean thanks to Kid avoiding a haymaker from his dastardly opponent. Neidhart wanted to showcase his strength advantage, only to be taken down by a cross body block off the Irish whip. Neidhart was beside himself, leaving the ring. They locked up again moments later with neither giving an inch when trying to shoulder block each other down. Kid lured his opposition into the drop toe hold, barring the legs and then the left arm of “The Anvil”. Using a handful of hair, Neidhart not only whipped Kid into a knee strike, but also a slam. The referee was being very lenient for letting Neidhart execute hair mares and a body slam on the unpadded concrete floor! The champion was in a bad way as Neidhart placed Kid in position for a big splash. Kid moved at the last second, knocking the wind out of “The Anvil”. Dynamite was on fire, utilizing a missile dropkick-clothesline combination topped by a roll up. “The Anvil” couldn’t kick out in time, giving Dynamite Kid the three count.
Winner: Dynamite Kid (5:49)
Is It A Classic: A nice little piece of business that the fans enjoyed for the short time it lasted. Nothing truly special or spectacular, but fun nonetheless.
