Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. John Crystal
Helmsley displayed his technical proficiency early, rolling through the wristlock before simply stomping Crystal’s face. While the crowd didn’t appreciate Hunter’s attitude, they did enjoy watching Crystal almost spoil Helmsley’s debut with a tight hammerlock. Frustrated over the turn of events, Helmsley mockingly slapped Crystal to set up a spinning heel kick! Triple H just did a spinning heel kick. Fans could be seen flipping Hunter the middle finger as he bowed following some illegal right fists to the face. Helmsley onslaught was topped by a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Rather than go for the pin, Helmsley waited for Crystal to get up. Throwing a haymaker, Crystal swung his way into the Ace Crusher and the three count.
Winner: Hunter Hearst Helmsley (3:10)
Is It A Classic: A prototypical debut match for someone given the amount of TV the future Triple H attained prior. Nothing truly spectacular, but a great view of what Hunter was.
