Tatanka vs. Papa Shango
The voodoo man jumped Tatanka from behind during his entrance, only to have the tides turn in his opponent’s favor when he went for a failed dropkick. The running attacks were hurting both men’s momentum as Shango avoided a running clothesline in the corner following the Irish whip; resulting in Papa knocking him down. The fans were not pleased with Shango’s antics while motioning for Tatanka to get up so he could choke him with both his hands & the ropes. Shango’s dreaded nerve hold had no effect on Tatanka, allowing Tatanka to fire off chops and dropkicks that had the big man stumbling until he was in prime position for the cross body block. It was all about the War Dance from Tatanka, forcing Shango to pull off something desperate after being clotheslined to the floor. Retrieving his mystical stick of evil, Shango failed to whack Tatanka, yet got disqualified when the stick spewed fireworks.
Winner: Tatanka (5:54)
Is It A Classic: This type of match was the norm for “Prime-Time Wrestling” back in the day – a solid, yet unremarkable encounter.
