Sharmell vs. Jenna Morasca

Background: “Survivor” reality TV star Jenna Morasca joined TNA wrestling in early 2009 as the financial backer of The Main Event Mafia faction featuring Booker T. For some reason Booker’s wife Sharmell and Morasca never got along. Eventually Morasca challenged Sharmell to a match where former Knockouts champion Awesome Kong would train Jenna while Sojo Bolt helped Sharmell get ready for the bout.

Sharmell vs. Jenna Morasca

Sharmell vs Jenna Morasca TNA

Sharmell was wearing her blue gown with a pair of matching boots while Jenna rocked some very short, leopard print tights and a matching top. There was an extended circling period before Sharmell took down Jenna – who couldn’t stop motioning how hot she was – with clubbing forearms and hair pulling. Sharmell started losing feathers all over the ring as Morasca bounced off the ropes and ran into a back elbow that looked atrocious. A little camel clutch action from Sharmell didn’t end this one. Jenna rallied to her feet, executing the slowest … cross … body … block … ever. Sharmell easily regained control, showing off the standing hair pull as the fans started to chant, “Boring!”

Sojo got involved, tripping Jenna when Sharmell whipped her into the ropes – causing Kong to give chase and distract the ref so Sojo and Sharmell could double stomp Morasca. Jenna fought back with “Women’s Slap 2” from the “Smackdown vs. Raw” video games at the time. Mounted Women’s Slap 2, leading to a catfight. The fans start to rightfully boo this “wrestling match” until Morasca is pulled off of Sharmell; revealing that she yanked a clump of Sharmell’s hair extensions. Jenna decided to do a little dance while twirling the hair, causing Sojo to step onto the apron in protest. Jenna knocked Bolt off, with Sojo sailing over Kong and busting her back on the guardrail. Morasca handed Kong the hair extensions, causing Sharmell to beg Kong for her hair back. Kong throat thrust Sharmell instead; knocking her out cold. Jenna did a pin that would make Maryse blush to mercifully end this one.

Winner: Jenna Morasca (5:49)

Is It A Classic: You know, sometimes matches are so bad they’re funny (Triple H vs. Scott Steiner – Royal Rumble 2003 for example). This wasn’t funny. This wasn’t entertaining. This was five minutes of the worst stuff I’ve seen in a wrestling ring on a large stage. Snookie’s performance at “Wrestlemania 25” makes her look like Lou Thesz in comparison to what Sharmell and Jenna did here. God bless the ladies for trying, but curse you, TNA for wasting valuable PPV time on something that had no chance of being watchable, let alone good.
