3 Count vs. Jung Dragons

Background: In the long-running rivalry between 3 Count and The Jung Dragons, 3 Count decided to showcase their intentions for “New Blood Rising” by bringing a ladder to the ring that would be used in their upcoming pay-per-view match with their adversaries. For some reason, an actual Ladder match broke out weeks before the event.

3 Count vs. Jung Dragons

During their performance, 3 Count couldn’t see all the Jung Dragons sneaking into the ring and climbing the ladder until it was almost too late. Jamie-San and Evan Karagias were slugging it out on the ladder when Shane Helms and Kaz Hayashi fell into the ladder to knock both friend & foe into the ropes. Evan was the first one to recover thanks to his partner; propping up the ladder on the top rope. Shannon Moore came running in Yang’s direction when the latter used a flapjack to send him leg first against the ladder. T

he Jung Dragons weren’t done as Jamie used a superplex off the ladder placed on the top rope to set up Yang’s diving head-butt on Moore. Bodies were flying everywhere until Evan grabbed the ladder and did the old Terry Funk twirl to knock out everyone in his path including his own partners. Tank Abbot was enjoying the action as Evan almost grabbed the certified gold record they earned with their smash hit “Down for the 3 Count”. Before Evan could retrieve the record, Yang & Kaz pushed him off the ladder, to the floor in a sickening sight as his right ankle bent backwards upon impact. There was no one to stop Jamie-San from attaining the record for the victory.

Winner: Jung Dragons (3:20)

Is It A Classic: Well it was fun while it lasted. Why WCW decided to do a preview of an even better match to come on free TV with no promotion is beyond comprehension, but what could expect from the company during this time. Thankfully the talent was up to par to make up for obvious mistakes in short order.
