Edge vs. Kane

Edge, though cautious, came at the big man with a hit & run approach. Unfortunately for Edge, the running resulted in him taking a big boot to the jaw. Avoiding a second boot, Edge got the big man tangled in the ropes for a chop block that allowed Edge to knock Kane to the floor. Lita was scurrying for safety as Edge forced Kane back in. before Edge could follow he got jacked on the jaw with an uppercut. Fighting for all his worth, Edge couldn’t avoid the flying clothesline. Rather than follow up, Kane went after Lita. Before Kane could finish Lita off for good, Gene Snitsky – someone who had been paid off by Edge for protection – attacked Kane to cause a disqualification. The post-match antics involved Matt Hardy coming from the crowd, attacking Edge, shaming Lita, and telling fans to see him in Ring of Honor.

Winner: Kane (1:56)

Is It A Classic: It was a nice, heated brawl, but hindered by the fact everyone knew what was going on backstage was more entertaining than what was happening in the ring. Then Matt Hardy showed up and made people forget the ridiculous reason why Edge and Kane are fighting in the first place.
