Robbie V vs. Scotty Flamingo

There was no love for the former Lightweight champion in Flamingo as commentator Tony Schivonie made mention of V’s boot-less attire. A nice dropkick early on from Robbie gave him the chance to side headlock his opposition. Flamingo pushed his way out of the hold, inadvertently allowing Robbie to spring to the top rope in one swift jump before coming off with the cross body block. Scotty kicked out of the follow up pin, utilizing a belly to back suplex to free himself from Robbie’s grip. Pitching V to the floor, Flamingo assumed the fans would start supporting him. When his intentions were proven false, Flamingo showcased his dropkicking and head locking abilities before whipping Robbie into the ropes. V came off the rebound with a spinning heel kick topped by the body slam. Flamingo couldn’t stop the split-legged moonsault or the subsequent three count in Robbie’s favor.

Winner: Robbie V (3:21)

Is It A Classic: A solid showcase from both men, but nothing amazing as you’d expect from two stars who really wouldn’t hit their strides as top-tier wrestlers until a couple of years later.
