After seeing highlights from Brody King’s win over the former ROH World champion Dalton Castle, King stated that he had a new fire roaring inside of him; a fire that will produce nothing but pure violence going forward.

The Briscoes vs. The Soldiers of Savagery

EC3 joined Ian Riccaboni & Caprice Coleman at the commentators’ table, noting his respect for Jay Briscoe for being one of the last real wrestlers on the planet; while not ignoring the toughness of Mark & the underrated fury of The SOS. EC3 also noted his quest for honor in a company built on it and having not seen such a quality thus far.

The Code of Honor was adhered to with Jay Briscoe starting off with Moses as the eldest Briscoe warned his brother to watch Kaun on the other side. Showing uncanny agility, Moses executed a leap frog before knocking Jay down by being the immovable object when Jay ran into him. Jay retaliated with a big boot prior to tagging out to Mark so his little brother could throw a missile dropkick. Moses found himself getting a mudhole stomped into him before Mark attempted to take controlled of the pace. Blind tag from Jay saw him run into a big head-butt from Moses. Mark got knocked out of the ring as Kaun came in for the first time with a big tackle on Jay.

The SOS unleashed a double team series that started with Moses ramming his own partner into Jay’s cornered body and ending with Kaun executing a slingshot senton splash. Jay refused to stay down, elbowing his way out of a suplex attempt prior to tagging out to his brother. Mark executed a belly to back slam on Kaun followed by an elbow drop to earn a two count. That patented double team shoulder tackle from Dem Boys saw Kaun almost run over for a pin fall. Hoisting Kaun on the top rope, The Briscoes had a doubler team superplex in mind. Kaun hit the mat with great force and Moses being the only thing saving Kaun from a three count leading to the commercial break.

The show returned with The SOS throwing chairs into the ring. The SOS came in a clubberin’ without weapons after the former World Tag Team champions showed no fear for what was to potentially come. Jay and Kaun flew to the floor while Moses downed Mark for a pair of splashes. Frog splash connected for Kaun after Moses dove on Jay at ringside for a two count as Mark valiantly kicked out. Jay recovered; catching Moses with the Timebomb neck breaker after sidestepping him to send Moses into the turnbuckles for a Mark Briscoe splash. With a chair set up by the ropes, Mark somersaulted over the top to wipe out Kaun. Moses was all alone, feeling the Death Valley Driver from Jay before Mark executed his Froggy Bow to pin Moses. Code of Honor followed with The Briscoes celebrating as EC3 watched on from the aisle. Jay wanted to know if EC3 had a problem. Mark escorted his brother past his a smirking EC3.

A vignette aired featuring Tyler Bateman stating that Matt Taven is a man fallen from grace, marked for death as ordered by Vincent. Taven promised that vengeance was coming for Vincent even if it means going through Bateman to do so.

Quinn McKay was with The Briscoes in the back. Mark tried to focus on their 200th tag team victory, but Jay Briscoe wanted a piece of EC3 – challenging him to a match for next week.

Kenny King vs. Shane Taylor

No Code of Honor from Shane Taylor, so Kenny King responded with a right hand to his opponent’s face. Taylor wasn’t fazed, throwing a big knee soon after that King avoided. King was hitting & moving, avoiding everything Shane had in mind while landing kicks from every direction. When King attempted to fist bump his old ally, Shane responded with a thunderous forearm that immediately dropped his opposition. After landing a few strikes on the cornered King, Taylor almost hip tossed him across the ring prior to the commercial break.

King was still stuck in the corner, getting rattled with strikes. Trying to fight his way out of the corner didn’t pan out well for King. Taylor went for that hip toss out of that corner again, but King flipped out of the maneuver before landing some strikes of his own. Coming off the ropes, King ran into a shoulder block that gave Taylor a two count. Big leg drop connected for Taylor, but only gave him a two count as well. Taylor was literally stalking King around the ring while landing punches & knees until King ended up on the apron. King was yanked over the top into a modified Tower of London … to gain a near fall!

Taylor had the lariat in mind when he felt King’s leg lariat. German suplex-Shotgun knees into the blue thunder bomb from King almost ended this one in Kenny’s favor. Showing impressive strength, King hoisted Taylor up for the Royal Flush. Taylor freed himself, landing a knee to King’s jaw. The package piledriver connected for Shane, only giving him a two count. Taylor took too much time following up after the failed pin; resulting in him taking a belly to belly suplex when he approached a rising King. Mouthing off was King until Taylor caught a jumping Kenny on his shoulder. Greetings From the Land for Shane connected immediately after. Taylor made the cover to pin his fellow from ROH World Television champion.

Overall: Sticking to the formula of mixing interviews, both post-match & pre-taped, and two matches given enough time to breath has worked well for the last two months; and that tradition continued here. The main event showcased both men at their best with Taylor having a dominant performance while King wouldn’t stop fighting until the end. With Taylor & Brody King winning their respective matches over the past two weeks, ROH’s World Championship scene has never been fresher with two potential challengers for RUSH when he returns. The SOS really impressed against The Briscoes. Though it seemed all good between the two afterward, a blood feud between Dem Boys & The SOS would be fantastic. ROH also did a good job setting up next week’s show by promising Jay Briscoe vs. EC3 and Taven vs. Bateman. Great stuff all around and definitely an episode worthy of your time.
