The Undertaker vs. Kamala

Background: At “Summerslam” earlier in the year, The Undertaker faced “The Ugandan Giant” Kamala in a match that ended with Kamala fleeing in fear of The Undertaker’s ability to survive his Big Splash. The mind games would continue thanks to The Undertaker and his manager Paul Bearer as Bearer wheeled a casket made for Kamala – thus giving the fans a chance to witness a Coffin Match between the two where the winner would only be declared after one man was placed inside the coffin and the lid closed shut.

The Undertaker vs Kamala

Poor Kamala was too scared to even hit his opponent, heading for the hills until The Undertaker slowly chased him. Kamala realized he had no choice, initiating a brawl that resulted in him being chopped down to the mat. Nonchalantly, The Undertaker tried to choke the life out of Kamala before whipping him into the ropes. Kamala used the momentum to kick and clothesline his undead opposition to the floor. For the first time in this match, Kamala had The Undertaker reeling by slamming him face first into the steel ring steps and bashing him in the back with a chair. The power of Paul Bearer’s urn gave The Undertaker a reason to rise when he was slammed down not once, but three times. The Big Splash became Kamala’s go-to weapon to keep The Undertaker downed. Kamala’s handler Kim Chee took the urn, tossing it to his in-ring representative. Kamala wanted no piece of the urn, accidentally giving it back to The Undertaker to be bashed in the head. The Undertaker made the cover, gaining an unnecessary pin fall before rolling the unconscious Kamala into the coffin for a dark victory.

Winner: The Undertaker (5:27)

Is It A Classic: They kept this spectacle short and sweet. It isn’t great or truly memorable, but it worked and didn’t overstay its welcome (unlike future Coffin/Casket matches),
